The New York Film Festival has tapped David Fincher’s “The Social Network” as its opening night film.
World preem of the Aaron Sorkin-penned movie about the founding of Facebook screens at NYFF Sept. 24, ahead of the Oct. 1 release from Sony.
Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield and Justin Timberlake star in the much-anticipated new movie. Scott Rudin, Dana Brunetti, Michael De Luca and Cean Chaffin produce the pic, based on Ben Mezrich’s book “The Accidental Billionaires.”
