Disney has tapped “The Departed” writer William Monahan to pen an adaptation of graphic novel “Oblivion,” with “Tron Legacy” director Joe Kosinski attached to direct.
Project’s centered on a court-martialed soldier assigned to a post-Apocalyptic planet becomes entwined with a mysterious traveler.
Radical Studios previewed the novel, written by Kosinski with art by Andree Wallin, at Comic-Con. Radical’s development slate includes “Last Days of American Crime” with Sam Worthington attached to star and “Earp: Saints for Sinners” with Sam Raimi attached to direct and produce for DreamWorks, Radical Studios, Mandeville and Raimi’s Star Road Entertainment.
Monahan’s credits include “Kingdom of Heaven,” “Body of Lies” and “Edge of Darkness.”
