“Modern Family’s” Julie Bowen has booked a pair of bigscreen roles: New Line’s “Horrible Bosses” and Sony’s “Jumping the Broom.”
First up is the ensemble comedy “Bosses,” which sees Bowen joining a cast that includes Jason Bateman, Jamie Foxx, Colin Farrell, Jennifer Aniston, Kevin Spacey and Jason Sudeikis. Bowen will play the wife of Spacey’s character.
Seth Gordon directs the pic about three friends who decide to murder their overbearing bosses with disastrous results.
Bowen will then segue to the Salim Akil-helmed “Broom,” which is set against the backdrop of Martha’s Vineyard where two African-American families from divergent backgrounds come together.
Bowen plays a high-strung wedding planner with a long list of chores.
The actress was just nominated for a supporting actress Emmy for her role on the breakout comedy “Modern Family.”
