Jessica Lange and Sam Neill are taking “The Vow,” joining the cast of Screen Gems/Spyglass Entertainment romancer alongside Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum.
Screen Gems and Spyglass are co-financing and distributing “The Vow,” directed by Michael Sucsy (“Grey Gardens”), in the first collaboration between the companies.
Spyglass toppers Roger Birnbaum and Gary Barber and prexy Jonathan Glickman are producing along with Paul Taublieb; Austin Hearst and Susan Cooper exec produces, and Cassidy Lange is co-producing.
“The Vow” centers on a young woman who loses all recent memory in a car accident and struggles to rebuild her identity, while her husband tries to win her heart for the second time.
Project’s based on a true story about Kim and Krickitt Carpenter. Their car was hit from behind by a truck in 1993, two months after their marriage. Clint Culpepper and Scott Strauss are overseeing for Screen Gems.
