Imogen Poots, Felicity Jones join ‘Cinderella’

Metropolis unveiling project at AFM

Felicity Jones and Imogen Poots have joined the cast of “Trap for Cinderella,” which U.K. sales outfit Metropolis unveils at AFM this week.

Pic, based on the tome by Sebastien Japrisot, is being adapted and directed by “The Skeleton Key” helmer Iain Softley.

Story focuses on two women, one wealthy and the other poor, who are trapped inside a beach house at a French resort when it is gutted by fire. Only one of them survives, burnt beyond recognition and in a state of total amnesia, unaware whether she is the heiress or penniless friend.

Shoot is set to start in London and France in February. Pic is produced by Robert Jones (“Dirty Pretty Things”) and Dixie Linder (“In My Father’s Den”) along with Softley.

Metropolis’ current slate includes Phil Traill’s “Chalet Girl,” starring Jones, Brooke Shields and Ed Westwick, and Brendan Gleeson-Don Cheadle starrer “The Guard.” “Chalet” will have its first market screenings at AFM.
