Hope Davis has joined the cast of DreamWorks’ Hugh Jackman topliner “Real Steel,” which Shawn Levy begins lensing later this month.
Two other additions to the lineup are James Rebhorn and Olga Fonda.
A sci-fi actioner about the new sport of robot boxing, “Real Steel” revolves around a former boxer who gets one last shot at a comeback when he teams with his long-lost son to train the perfect contender for the high-tech sport.
John Gatins penned the script. Already cast to star alongside Jackman are Dakota Goyo, Evangeline Lilly, Kevin Durand and Anthony Mackie.
Producers are Don Murphy, Susan Montford and Levy. Steven Spielberg, Bob Zemeckis, Jack Rapke, Steve Starkey, Mary McLaglen and Josh McLaglen are exec producers.
Davis is repped by UTA and Kipperman Management.
