First Trailer for Christina Aguilera’s ‘Burlesque’

Picture 20 Pop stars, bad acting and a cliche’d script–sounds like a recipe for disaster, right? Pretty much.

The first trailer for Screen Gems’ “Burlesque” arrived Wednesday night and it looks a lot like “Chicago,” only performed at a “Showgirls” level. Still, Christina Aguilera and Cher’s presence could swing a decent B.O. come Thanksgiving. Plus, writer/director Steve Antin added a few vets like Stanley Tucci, Alan Cumming and Kristen Bell to take the pressure off of Aguilera, who is making her bigscreen debut in the pic.

Let’s just hope the rest of “Burlesque” isn’t as bad as some of the one-liners here. (“I wanna be up there. I wanna do that.” – Aguilera)

“Burlesque” opens nationwide November 24.
