Epic Pictures Group has locked a co-production and co-financing deal on “11:11:11,” the next project from helmer Darren Lynn Bousman (“Saw II,” “Saw III” and “Saw IV”).
Epic, which is also selling the supernatural pic, is co-financing it with Barcelona-based production entity Canonigo Films.
Movie is produced by Wayne Rice (“Valentine’s Day”) and begins lensing on Jan. 4.
Story centers on the emergence in people’s lives of the number 11 — believed to alert people to spirits or angels trying to communicate with them. Pic will be released worldwide on Nov. 11, 2011 (11-11-11).
Epic most recently acquired sales rights to “Deadline,” starring the late Brittany Murphy; “The Malay Chronicles: Bloodlines”; “Genghis Khan”; Danny DeVito starrer “Housebroken”; and “Finding Amanda,” starring Matthew Broderick and Murphy.
