Dano joins ‘Looper’

Time-travel thriller to shoot in Louisiana next year

Paul Dano is in talks to join the time-travel thriller “Looper,” opposite Bruce Willis, Emily Blunt and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Rian Johnson (“The Brothers Bloom,” “Brick”) is directing from his own script. Project reunites Johnson with producer Ram Bergman, who produced Johnson’s previous two films and Endgame Entertainment’s James D. Stern, who financed and produced “The Brothers Bloom.”

Endgame’s Doug Hansen is exec producing. Endgame is fully financing “Looper,” scheduled to begin production in Louisiana next year.

“Looper” is centered on a group of killers who send bodies of their victims back in time.

Dano’s been seen in “Knight and Day,” “Meek’s Cutoff” and “The Extra Man.” He’ll be seen in sci-fi Western “Cowboys and Aliens.”

Dano’s repped by CAA.
