‘Black Swan’ to screen in Austin

Film festival also taps Danny Boyle's '127 Hours'

The 17th annual Austin Film Festival has announced most of its lineup, screening titles including Danny Boyle’s “127 Hours” and Darren Aronofsky’s “Black Swan.”

U.S. premieres include Barry W. Blaustein’s “Peep World” and Dan Lee West’s “Raging Boll” and the fest will host the world premieres of John Doyle’s “Main Street,” Shane Dax Taylor’s “Bloodworth” and Phil Rosenthal’s “Exporting Raymond,” about the making of the Russian version of “Everybody Loves Raymond.”

This year’s fest will have more than 170 screenings and events, with more than 100 panelists participating in 90 panels and roundtable discussions. “Blade Runner” scribe David Peoples will receive the distinguished screenwriter award and “The Wire’s” David Simon is this year’s outstanding television writer award recipient.

The fest runs Oct. 21 to 28.
