ATO Pictures has snapped up U.S. rights to “Terri,” the John C. Reilly starrer from “Momma’s Man” director Azazel Jacobs.

ATO, the company co-founded by Dave Matthews, recently picked up “Casino Jack” just ahead of its world preem at the Toronto Film Festival.

“Terri,” which wrapped in August, centers on the friendship between an overweight 15-year-old and a high school vice principal (Reilly). Jacob Wysocki (“Huge”), Creed Bratton (“The Office”), Tim Heidecker and Olivia Crocicchia also are among the cast.

Alison Dickey, Lynette Howell and “Momma’s Man” producers Alex Orlovsky and Hunter Gray produce “Terri,” penned by Patrick deWitt. Distribution deal was negotiated by ATO’s Sarah Lash and Vicki Cherkas with Orlovsky, Gray and Andre Des Rochers.

ATO has targeted the second quarter of 2011 for the “Terri” release.
