Warner Bros. has set an April 22 release date for Steve Carell’s marital crisis comedy “Crazy Stupid Love” and moved supernatural thriller “Red Riding Hood” forward six weeks to March 11.
“Love” centers on a father who tries to manage his relationship with his children. Ryan Gosling, Marisa Tomei, Emma Stone and musician Josh Groban also star with Carell. Carell and Denise Di Novi produce and John Requa and Glenn Ficarra directing from Dan Fogelman’s script.
It’s the third comedy to land on April 22, joining Lionsgate’s “Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Big Happy Family” and Sony’s “Born to Be a Star.”
“Hood” is directed by Catherine Hardwicke and stars Amanda Seyfried and Lukas Haas. It will open against Disney comedy “Mars Needs Moms” and Sony actioner “Battle: Los Angeles.”
