Joseph Kosinski’s “Tron: Legacy” will close the seventh Dubai Film Festival at a gala screening on Dec. 18, the organizers announced Monday.
Disney’s 3D follow-up to 1982’s “Tron” stars original cast members Jeff Bridges and Bruce Boxleitner alongside Garrett Hedlund and Olivia Wilde and will screen a day after its North American release.
Touted as a new milestone in computer-generated filmmaking, “Tron: Legacy” reflects the eclectic range of cinema at the Dubai fest, said artistic director Masoud Amralla Al Ali.
“Just as Dubai places the emphasis on bringing the finest arthouse movies from around the world, we also incorporate the most modern trends in filmmaking to provide a total cinema experience for film enthusiasts,” he said.
Festival is also planning a Mexico focus. Fest runs Dec. 12-19.

I have always deeply respected the work [...]
