Indie comedy “Shoud’ve Been Romeo,” starring Paul Ben-Victor, has rounded out its cast with B.J. Britt, Ed Asner, Carol Kane, Michael Rapaport, Mary McCormack and Kelly Osbourne.
Filming is under way in Los Angeles. Pic also stars Renee Taylor, Evan Handler, Natasha Henstridge, Alanna Ubach and Howard Rosenman.
Marc Bennett (“Hot Flash Havoc”) is directing from a script by Ben-Victor, Leah Kornfeld Friedman and Greg Ferkel. Gregory Segal is producing through his Alternate Reality, and David Levy and Donna Levy are executive producing with Eric Cusimano.
“Romeo” tells the story of a self-centered, middle-aged pitchman for a potato chip company who loses his job and his livelihood just as his octogenarian grandfather, portrayed by Asner, is dropped on his doorstep unexpectedly by his mother on her way to a singles cruise.
