Although it was intended to be a top-secret affair, a handful of Twihards managed to find their way to Monday’s “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” premiere at Gotham’s Crosby Street Hotel.
Kristen Stewart found her Gotham press duties “less daunting” than last week’s L.A. premiere extravaganza. “This is definitely easier because the line is so much shorter,” Stewart said of the miniature indoor red carpet cluttered with a small helping of reporters and photogs.
“I like changing it up,” Taylor Lautner added. “It’s great to have the madness (with) thousands of fans surrounding the red carpet and then a few days later be able to attend an intimate event like this one.”
Unfortunately for those Team Edward fans, Robert Pattinson was a no-show.
Despite having just 100 seats to fill, the cozy film soiree got off to a typically late start, since the thesps arrived just as the screening was scheduled to begin. Stewart and Lautner didn’t actually sit through the third installment, but they did celebrate the end of the “Eclipse” promotional tour within the velvet ropes at the hotel’s after-party.
