Kline’s one-liners

'Extra Man' draws Holmes

At Magnolia Pictures’ “The Extra Man” bow Monday, Kevin Kline explained what he did to cut costs for the indie pic.

“There were nights where it would have put us over budget if I’d gone back to the trailers just to urinate, so I decided to try it on the street and see how it works,” Kline said (jokingly?) at N.Y.’s Village East Cinema.

He didn’t clarify if he’d been arrested by New York’s finest before he joined Katie Holmes, Paul Dano, director Shari Springer Berman, producer Lawrence Bender and Magnolia’s Eamonn Bowles at Vapiano, whose opening coincided with the after-party.
