Hollywood fest fetes Galifianakis

Jennifer Lawrence also honored

The Hollywood Film Festival has tapped Zach Galifianakis for its Comedy Actor Award and Jennifer Lawrence for its New Hollywood Award.

The kudos will be presented at the festival’s awards gala at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Oct. 25.

Galifianakis stars in “It’s Kind of a Funny Story” and will be seen next in “Due Date,” co-starring Robert Downey Jr., and “Hangover 2.”

Lawrence was most recently seen in “Winter’s Bone” and is in “The Beaver” with Jodie Foster, Mel Gibson and Anton Yelchin. She is currently in production on Matthew Vaughn’s “X-Men: First Class” and recently wrapped on Drake Doremus’ “Like Crazy” and Mark Tonderai’s “House at the End of the Street.”
