David Gordon Green will direct Jonah Hill in comedy “The Sitter” for 20th Century Fox.
Described as a cross between “Superbad” and “Adventures in Babysitting,” pic was scripted by Brian Gatewood and Alessandro Tanaka. Michael De Luca is producing.
Gatewood and Tanaka’s spec, about a young man forced to babysit three wild kids, sparked a heated bidding war last year between Fox and Paramount.
Hill (“Superbad,” “Forgetting Sarah Marshall”) will next be in theaters with Par/DreamWorks’ “How to Train Your Dragon” (March 26). He also stars in the upcoming “Get Him to the Greek” and “Cyrus.”
Green’s credits include “Pineapple Express” and “Undertow.” He’s in post-production with Universal’s “Your Highness,” starring Zooey Deschanel, Natalie Portman, Danny McBride and James Franco.
Hill is represented by WME and Principato-Young Entertainment. Green is repped by CAA.
