Paul Giamatti, Amy Ryan and Bobby Cannavale will topline writer-director Tom McCarthy’s comedy-drama “Win Win,” which begins production March 15 in Gotham.
Fox Searchlight and New York philanthropist Lisa Maria Falcone are co-financing the film, and producing with Michael London’s Groundswell Prods. Falcone produces via Everest Entertainment.
From a story by McCarthy and Joe Tiboni, “Win Win” also stars Melanie Lynskey (“Up in the Air”) and Jeffrey Tambor.
Giamatti plays a struggling attorney who moonlights as a high school wrestling coach. All aspects of his life are thrown in the air when he becomes the legal guardian of a client whose grandson shows up on his doorstep.
Producers are Mary Jane Skalski, London and Falcone. Everest’s Tom Heller is exec producer. Everest was founded in 2008.
McCarthy wrote and directed “The Visitor” and “The Station Agent.”
