With Bill Condon finally confirmed as director of “Breaking Dawn,” the final tome in the “Twilight” saga, the only question left to be answered is whether Summit Entertainment will definitely break the story into two films.

Though it’s widely expected to do so, Summit has not yet confirmed that it will produce two installments of the last chapter in the love story of bloodsucker Edward and mortal Bella.

Summit said Wednesday that stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner will return and that Wyck Godfrey, Karen Rosenfelt, and Stephenie Meyer will produce.

Condon had been in negotiations for several weeks to direct “Breaking Dawn” — the final tome in author Stephenie Meyer’s four-book vampire series. The deal was expected to close quickly, with no major sticking points between the two sides.
