Home entertainment trade org Digital Entertainment Group (DEG) has issued a double-barrel announcement, adding names to its board and exec committee and eight companies to its membership.
David Bishop, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment prexy, has signed on as veep of org’s exec committee. Joining its board are Stephen Nickerson of Summit Entertainment, Jim Belcher of Universal Music Group and Lori MacPherson, exec veep of Disney Home Entertainment.
McPherson replaces Disney’s Bob Chapek, who previously served as board chairman.
“Under (Bob’s) leadership the DEG grew from 42 member companies to 70 members strong,” said DEG exec director Amy Jo Smith.
The companies joining DEG as members are: A&E Television Networks, Amazon.com, Imax Corp., RealD, Samsung Electronics, SRS Labs, Testronics and Verance.
