Chris Evans will play the lead role in the Kassen brothers’ drama “Puncture,” about a troubled young attorney who must come to terms with his own demons when taking on a healthcare giant.

Adam and Mark Kassen are shooting the indie pic in Houston from a script by Chris Lopta. They’re producing via their shingle Like Minded Pictures with Jordan Foley and Craig Cohen.

Vinessa Shaw, Mark Kassen and Brett Cullen also star.

CAA is repping the project for North American distribution.

Storyline revolves around a drug-addicted lawyer who sues a healthcare company.

“From the moment we heard about this story, we connected to what it says about the current state of our medical industry and the flawed hero that tries to fix it,” Adam Kassen said.

Jesse L. Martin, Michael Biehn, Kate Burton, Tess Parker and Marshall Bell round out the cast.

Evans (“Fantastic Four”) is next in theaters with Warner Bros.’ “The Losers,” opening April 23. He’s also set to star opposite Anna Faris in New Regency’s comedy “What’s Your Number?”

Evans is repped by CAA.
