Disney's 3D pic earns $5.1 mil to best 'Potter'

For the first time in three weeks, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” did not triumph at the Friday box office.

Disney’s 3D animated pic “Tangled” topped the day with an estimate of $5.1 million in 3,603 runs, while “Potter” earned about $4.8 million in 4,125 engagements.

Sony’s “Burlesque” earned about $2 million in 3,307 runs. Two Fox films, “Unstoppable” (3,152 engagements) and “Love and Other Drugs” (2,458 runs), each earned about $1.9 million.

Warner Bros pic “Due Date” collected about $1.4 million in 2,450 runs, while CBS’ “Faster” earned roughly $1.2 million in 2,470 engagements for the No. 7 spot.

Paramount’s “Megamind” took in about $1.17 million in 3,173 runs, while Relativity Media’s “The Warrior’s Way” collected about $1.1 million in 1,622 engagements. “The Next Three Days” from Lionsgate rounded out the top ten with about $805,000 in 2,236 runs.
