Thesps Robert Duvall and Hilary Swank, helmer Darren Aronofsky and Focus Features topper James Schamus are set to receive career tributes as part of the 2010 Gotham Independent Film Awards.

Tributes will occur as part of the November ceremony that also will include award presentations to winners of the kudos’ seven competitive categories.

Duvall toplined recent Sony Pictures Classic release “Get Low,” while Swank stars in “Conviction,” forthcoming from Fox Searchlight. After generating buzz in Venice, Aronofsky’s “Black Swan,” also from Fox Searchlight, hits theaters in December.

Recent pics from Schamus’ Focus include “The Kids Are All Right,” “The American” and “It’s Kind of a Funny Story,” with Sofia Coppola’s “Somewhere” among the films on the horizon.

The 20th annual ceremony, presented by IFP, is set for Nov. 29 at the Wall Street outpost of Cipriani.
