U.K.-based re-recording mixer Mike Prestwood Smith is joining Todd-AO’s Santa Monica facility.
A BAFTA winner for his work on “Casino Royale,” Prestwood Smith has mixed several high-profile projects in the U.K., including multiple installments in the James Bond and Harry Potter franchises.
“Although Mike has been working primarily in the U.K., we already enjoy an excellent working relationship, as our sound editorial teams and mixers have collaborated with Mike on several projects in the past few years, including “Nine,” “Hellboy II: The Golden Army,” “Quantum of Solace” and “United 93,” said Jeffrey Eisner, senior veep of film and TV development at CSS Studios.
Prestwood Smith is in the process of relocating to the Los Angeles area and will be based on Stage 7 at Todd-AO West.
