Roundup & Recap: War Fatigue

“The Hurt Locker” may have won the Oscar for best picture, but Hollywood is not ready to greenlight more Iraq war pics. With the disappointing results of “Green Zone,” and only a mild box office bounce for “Locker” after its laurels, it may be some time before another pic is put into production, Variety reports. The upcoming Valerie Plame pic, “Fair Game,” does not have a release date.

President Obama will be interviewed by Fox News’ Bret Baier on Wednesday as part of the White House’s final push for healthcare reform. It will be Obama’s only second sitdown with Fox since taking office, and spokesman Robert Gibbs says that the idea of changing viewers’ minds is “certainly worth a shot,” Politico reports.

Kathy Griffin will lead a rally on Thursday in Washington to call for ending “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” The rally will take place at Freedom Plaza and is expected to be featured in her Bravo series, “My Life on the D List.”

Scarlett Johansson is lobbying members of Congress for legislation to improve the meal choices of schoolchildren across the country.

And a follow up to my post over the weekend on the “Boxer Blimp” spot. I chatted with Fred Davis at a dinner party last night, and he says that the narrator is Robert Davi, who also was the voice of the now famous (or infamous) Demon Sheep ad.
