New Twist in Super Bowl Ad Flap

CBS plans to run an ad from an anti-abortion group during the Super Bowl, much to the dismay of pro-choice groups, and now it is considering running a spot for a gay dating site. Although not political in nature, the spot from Mancrunch certainly will create pressure on the network were it to reject it. And as Greg Hernandez points out in Greg in Hollywood, the submission of the spot is nothing short of mastery of timing for the dating site, which now has reams of publicity and, free promotion.

Update: CBS has rejected the ad on content grounds, and Mancrunch says it's a double standard.
