David Mills

HBO announced today that acclaimed writer producer David Mills, whose credits included "The Wire" and the upcoming post-Katrina New Orleans series "Treme," has died of a brain aneurysm.

Mills, 48, was a journalist before his TV career, and wrote the famous Sister Souljah profile for the Washington Post in 1992 that inspired then presidential candidate Bill Clinton to publicly rebuke her for using incendiary rhetoric.
