Wise exits Disney post

Exec served on company's European board

LONDON — One of Disney’s senior strategists has ankled the Mouse House.

Theresa Wise, senior VP of corporate strategy and business development for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, joined Disney in 2008 and worked in London and Burbank.

Disney declined to comment on her departure and was unable to say if it intends to hire a replacement for what was, at the time, a new role that Disney heralded with much fanfare.

Wise reported to Kevin Mayer, executive VP of corporate strategy, business development and technology, plus Walt Disney Intl. chairman Andy Bird.

Wise called her time at the House House “the most fantastic experience, which gave me the opportunity to work on some of the crucial issues that entertainment companies face in the digital age.

“I am looking forward to seeking new opportunities in Europe.”

Wise, who sat on Disney’s European management board, lead corporate strategy, business planning, corporate business development and evaluation and execution of acquisition transactions across the EMEA region.

Before Disney, she was a partner at consultancy Accenture.
