RSC firms up New York residency slate

Goold's 'Romeo,' Boyd's 'Like It' among the offerings

The Royal Shakespeare Company has nailed down the five-play lineup of its six-week residency as part of the 2011 Lincoln Center Festival.

Sked includes “Romeo and Juliet” helmed by Rupert Goold (whose productions of “Macbeth” and “Enron” have been seen on Broadway), “King Lear” and “The Winter’s Tale” directed by RSC associate director David Farr, and “Antony and Cleopatra” and “As You Like It” staged by RSC a.d. Michael Boyd.

The repertory cast will include RSC company members Greg Hicks, Kathryn Hunter, Katy Stephens and Darrell D’Silva.

Shows will run in rep July 6-Aug. 14 as part of the 2011 Lincoln Center fest, playing stints at Gotham’s Park Avenue Armory on a specially-built stage.
