NonStop buys ‘Of Gods and Men’

'Route Irish,' 'Room in Rome' among acquisitions

STOCKHOLM — Scandi distrib NonStop Entertainment went on a shopping spree in Cannes.

Company bought Grand Prix winner “Of Gods and Men,” helmed by Xavier Beauvois, Ken Loach’s competition entry “Route Irish” and Julio Medem’s “Room in Rome” from Wild Bunch for distribution in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.

NonStop also acquired Takeshi Kitano’s ultraviolent competition drama “Outrage” from Celluloid Dreams, as well as docu “Hugh Hefner: Playboy, Activist and Rebel.” Docus “Yves Saint Laurent: L’amour fou” and “Lagerfeld Confidential” were acquired from Films Distribution for distribution in the Nordic and Baltic countries.

James C. Strouse’s “The Winning Season” was acquired from Content for distribution in Nordic and Baltic countries.
