Distribution pact with label's Alternative Alliance

Prominent Canadian firm Nett-werk Music Group has inked a new U.S. distribution pact with Warner Music Group’s Alternative Distribution Alliance.

Previously handled stateside by Sony Music Entertainment, the Vancouver-based company was the incubator for the careers of Sarah McLachlan and Coldplay. Its current roster includes BT, Ladytron, the Weepies and Great Lake Swimmers. ADA will also handle Nettwerk’s catalog, which includes Skinny Puppy, Old Crow Medicine Show, The Be Good Tanyas and Hope Sandoval.

Nettwerk simultaneously announced that Eric Fritschi, former head of the company’s marketing department, had been elevated to general manager. Former Rhino Entertainment staffers Dutch Cramblitt and Liz Erman have joined the company as vp of sales and director of marketing & digital strategy, respectively.
