Veteran tenpercenter Mike Eisner has been tapped to head business and legal affairs for Hasbro Studios.

The L.A.-based production arm of the toy giant has been ramping up its operations during the past year. The unit will provide a number of original programs for the Hub kidvid cabler that Hasbro is to launch in October in partnership with Discovery Communications.

Eisner comes to Hasbro after spending the past nine years as a veep and lit agent for WME and its predecessor, WMA. Eisner was involved in orchestrating a multi-pic alliance for Hasbro with Universal Pictures during his WMA tenure.

Eisner’s “television, film and music expertise will play a vital role in guiding our growth around the world,” Hasbro Studios prexy Stephen Davis said in announcing the appointment.

Before WMA, Eisner worked as a biz affairs exec and lit agent for ICM. Earlier in his career he worked for Carolco Pictures and the law firm of Wyman, Bautzer, Kuchel & Silbert.
