Film London backs five art films

Projects are being produced by Flamin

Film London’s Artists’ Moving Image Network are set to invest £170,000 ($260,000) in five projects greenlit for production through its outfit Flamin Productions.

The newly-created production fund aims to give London-based artists the chance to produce original moving image works.

Scheme participants each receive between $46,000 to $54,000 to produce projects ranging from computer animation to observational docs and each will receive mentor support and additional development funding.

The agency, supported by Arts Council England, Skillset and the U.K. Film Council, will also invest a further $200,000 to up to five more projects through an open application process at http://www.filmlondon.org.uk/flaminproductions.

Deadline for submissions is July 1.
