LONDON — New films and works in progress from Central and Eastern Europe are to be showcased at festivals in Warsaw and Moscow next month.
The sixth edition of CentEast Market — which brings together producers for screenings of new films — takes place Oct. 15-17 during the 26th Warsaw Film Festival, followed by screenings at Moscow’s 2Morrow Intl. Film Festival Oct. 17-20.
The market, which includes screenings of new Polish films, panel discussions and workshops, is aimed at producers, sales and distribution agents specializing in films from Eastern Europe.
Deadline for submitting films for the market is Thursday.
This year, organizers are looking for the works-in-progress and completed films from: Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine.
