Franco-German net Arte has inked a raft of sales on Gallic helmer Loic Prigent’s “The Day Before,” a lifestyle mag co-produced by Arte and the Sundance Channel.

The four-part factual program has been picked up in Germany (SWR), Japan (Wowow), Canada (RTV) and Israel (Channel 8). Deals were announced at the TVFI Rendez-Vous, the annual TV mart that runs Monday through Friday in Biarritz.

“The Day Before” follows design teams for Sonia Rykiel, Jean Paul Gaultier, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez’s Proenza Schouler and Fendi, whose creative director is Karl Lagerfeld, in the run-up to fashion shows.

Prigent is also directing “The Dior World,” a 90-minute film on the French haute-couture empire. Story Box, co-founded by TV host Laurence Ferrari, is producing with Arte.

Arte is also producing Thierry Aguila’s “Jeans, A Faded Blue Planet,” which examines the cultural, economic and industrial aspects of denim jeans.

Produced by French outfit Les Films du Tambour de Soie, the docu will be presented at Toronto’s Documentary Forum and Hot Docs.

Pre-sales include Israel (YEF-DBS) and Belgium (RTBF).

Both “A Faded Blue Planet” and “The Dior World” are repped by Arte’s pre-sales unit, which launched in January to help fast-track the financing for in-house documentary productions.
