The Venice Film Festival is adding more nods to its Horizons sidebar, which will include works in different formats.

The section will now comprise a Horizons award for full-length works; a special jury Horizons prize for full-length works; and Horizons awards for short and medium-length works.

As previously announced, the Lido section dedicated to new trends in world cinema is opening up to formats small and large, including works longer than two hours, to attract more submissions from the broader visual arts and to become more of a laboratory for cutting-edge cinema.

The Horizons jury will comprise five personalities from the worlds of film and culture.

The fest’s 67th edition will run Sept. 1-11.
