Pakistan censors ban ‘Tere Bin Laden’

They fear Osama spoof will spark terrorist attacks

The Pakistan Film Censor Board has banned Bollywood spoof “Tere Bin Laden” over fears of terrorist attacks.

Debutant helmer Abhishek Sharma’s farce about a journalist who creates a fake Osama Bin Laden video was due to be released on Friday.

Local musician Ali Zafar, who stars in the Pakistan-set pic that was filmed in India, had set up a distribution company for its release in Pakistan. He has appealed against the ban.

The film, which will be released as planned in India, the U.K. and the Middle East, is produced by Walkwater Media, which is also on board Shekhar Kapur’s “Paani.”
