Even the Brits are climbing aboard the Betty White bandwagon.
The British Academy of Film and Television Arts/Los Angeles will honor White and Jeff Bridges at its Britannia Awards, to be held Nov. 4 at the Century Plaza Hotel.
Bridges will get the Stanley Kubrick trophy for film and White the Charlie Chaplin prize for comedy.
“It doesn’t get much better than honoring two true Hollywood veterans in their own right,” said Nigel Lythgoe, BAFTA/LA chair. “Betty White is a comedy icon whose quick wit and everlasting energy is second to none; and Jeff Bridges’ remarkable ability to immerse himself into each role he plays epitomizes his multifaceted career.”
Stephen Fry will return as emcee.
