AMC promoted two key principals related to its burgeoning scripted content, elevating Ben Davis to VP of scripted programming and Susan Goldberg to production veep.

The cabler also appointed Allison Hoffman to the newly created position of creative and brand strategy VP.

Previously director of development and current programming, Davis helps manage AMC’s development slate and oversees creative for several current series (including “Mad Men” and “Breaking Bad”), reporting to senior veep of scripted programming Susie Fitzgerald in Los Angeles. Goldberg supervises all aspects of physical production for AMC scripted series and pilots; she will ultimately report to a senior veep of production to be named.

“Ben and Susan have been an integral part of AMC’s original programming team,” AMC senior veep of original programming Joel Stillerman said. “Ben’s experience in script development was an asset to the network as it made its foray into original programming. Susan’s supervision of AMC’s original pilots and series has resulted in stellar programming for the network.”

Goldberg, whose series include “Mad Men” and “Breaking Bad,” the upcoming “The Walking Dead” and pilot “Hell on Wheels,” was with AMC when its foray into scripted content began with miniseries “Broken Trail.” Davis (from Scout Prods.) and Goldberg (from Miramax Films) each arrived at AMC in 2004.

Hoffman, who joined AMC in 2005 as director of consumer marketing, will provide strategic input to developing AMC’s brand.

“Ali came on board at a critical time for AMC,” said senior marketing veep Linda Schupack, to whom Hoffman will report, “just as the network was making its transition into original programming. She’s both a great creative and strategic thinker who has been central to AMC’s award-winning marketing campaigns, kicked off by ‘Broken Trail’ and most recently ‘Mad Men’ and ‘Rubicon.’ ”

Hoffman has also worked on AMC’s successful Emmy and Golden Globe awards campaigns.
