Entertainment One has inked a multiyear, first-look deal with new film and TV shingle Blue Ice Films.

Former eOne Television senior VP of factual programming Steven Silver will develop, produce and finance film and TV projects via Blue Ice, which he owns with longtime partner Neil Tabatznik.

EOne will have first-look rights to Blue Ice’s features as well as scripted and nonscripted TV projects.

EOne Television prexy Laszlo Barna said the agreement provided a “solid foundation” for the TV division.

In 2006, Silver became an equity partner in Barna-Alper Prods. and served as prexy until it was acquired by eOne in 2007.

He recently oversaw series “Outlaw Bikers” and docu “Storming Juno.” Silver was also an exec producer on “Force of Nature: The David Suzuki Movie,” which world preems at the Toronto Film Festival.

“The Bang Bang Club,” helmed and penned by Silver, will world preem as a gala event at the fest, which starts on Sept. 9.

EOne Films will distribute the pic in Canada.
