Jeff Aldrich, who managed the A&R of film soundtracks among other duties during his eight years at Warner Bros., has been named senior VP, A&R, RCA Music Group.
He will report to Barry Weiss, chairman and CEO, RCA/Jive Label Group and be based in the company’s New York headquarters. Sony Music’s RCA Music Group comprises J Records, Arista Records, RCA Records, Polo Grounds, Black Seal and Battery Records.
At Warner Bros. Records, Aldrich worked with Seal, Disturbed, Faith Hill and the Veronicas. Among his soundtrack projects were “The Departed,” “Transformers” and “The Devil Wears Prada.” Prior to Warner Bros., he held the same position at Giant Records, working with Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Big Head Todd & the Monsters and others.
His first A&R jobs were at Chrysalis Records where he signed and cultivated Pat Benatar, Billy Idol and the Divinyls.
