‘Ruined’ extends run

Production gets boost from Pulitzer win

The Manhattan Theater Club’s Off Broadway production of “Ruined,” riding the momentum of the play’s recent Pulitzer win, has extended its run by six weeks.

It’s the sixth announced extension for the show, which now plays through June 28 at MTC’s Stage I at City Center.

Lynn Nottage’s play, helmed by Kate Whoriskey, centers on a businesswoman in the Congo. In the current frenzy of annual legit kudos, “Ruined” has picked up multiple noms from the Drama Desk, the Outer Critics, the Drama League and the Lucille Lortel Awards.
