UCLA taps costumer designer

Nadoolman named David C. Copley Chair

Costume designer Deborah Nadoolman Landis has been tapped as the David C. Copley Chair for the newly endowed costume design center at UCLA’s School of Theater, Film and Television.

Landis, a UCLA alum, will serve as founding director for the program, aimed at furthering the field through research and coursework.

Along with her Oscar-nominated work on “Coming to America,” Landis has worked on other such films as “Animal House” and “The Blues Brothers.”

She also served for two terms as president of the Costume Designers Guild.
