Patti Rockenwagner, Paramount Pictures’ top PR exec, is ankling the studio.
Par topper Brad Grey disclosed her departure Friday, saying that she’s leaving to pursue another opportunity. Grey also said there are no immediate succession plans for the position.
“She has agreed to stay on with us through October to ensure a smooth transition,” Grey said. “Please join me in thanking her for overseeing communications during this important time for the studio. It goes without saying that we wish her all the best in her new endeavor.”
Rockenwagner took post of exec veep of corporate communications in May 2008. Rockenwagner had joined Paramount after a stint as Time Warner Cable VP of communications for the Southern California region. She had also worked as a communications exec at Comcast of Southern California, and was active in the political arena in the 1990s, working as chief of staff and campaign manager for California state Senator Tom Hayden and legislative director in the office of California state Senator Art Torres.
