John Waters in own ‘World’

Filmmaker to perform at Copenhagen festival

STOCKHOLM — Filmmaker and provocateur John Waters will perform his standup show “This Filthy World — Dirtier and Filthier” on April 24 at the first CPH:PIX film fest in Copenhagen.

The one-man show is a journey through Waters’ life, mind and career, touching on his fascination with true crime and exploitation films. Trip to Scandinavia will be Waters’ first, according to fest head of programming Niels Lind Larsen.

CPH:PIX, which will focus on new talents and what it calls artistic bravery, was created by the merger of Denmark’s NatFilm Fest and Copenhagen Film Festival. It runs April 16-26.
