Jessica Szohr added to ‘Piranha 3D’

'Gossip Girl' actress to co-star in horror film

“Gossip Girl’s” Jessica Szohr has signed on to co-star in Dimension’s “Piranha 3D.”

She is joining Elisabeth Shue, Adam Scott, Ving Rhames, Dina Meyer and Richard Dreyfuss, who have already boarded the Alexandre Aja-helmed horror remake.

Story kicks off after an underwater tremor sets free scores of prehistoric man-eating fish in a tourist-friendly lake, forcing a group of strangers to band together to battle the area’s new razor-toothed residents.

Szohr will play a local girl who is intrigued by all the excitement of spring break when it descends on her sleepy lakeside town.

Pic begins lensing this month in Arizona and is scheduled to bow March 19, 2010.
