‘Cove’ gets aud award at Silverdocs

'12 Notes Down' nabs short audience kudo

Director Louie Psihoyos’ “The Cove” was awarded the feature audience kudo at the AFI-Discovery Channel Silverdocs Documentary Festival.

Pic follows Richard O’Barry(Flipper”) and his team as they expose the Japanese fish market and its treatment of dolphins.

“12 Notes Down,” about a 14-year-old star choir performer, was picked for the short audience kudo.

Awards were handed out in conjunction with the fest’s jury prizewinners announced Saturday after the weeklong festival in Silver Spring, Md.
