Chuck Rose sells screenplays, pilot

Yari Film Group financing 'Steps'

Chuck Rose has sold two bigscreen scripts and a smallscreen pilot.

First up for Rose, who is best known for festival pic “Side Effects,” is the thriller “Steps,” which the Yari Film Group is financing.

Pic, which will be helmed by Tony Kaye, centers on a ruthless exec forced to make amends to people he’s hurt. Bettina Viviano, Colleen Camp, Gigi Gaston and Henry Boger are producing.

Rose also sold thriller “Crashers” to Michelle Krumm Prods. Described as a modern take on “Strangers on a Train,” story revolves around a murder that upends the lives of some L.A. twentysomethings. Barbet Schroeder is onboard to direct. Susan Hoffman produces with Viviano, Camp and Gaston.

And ABC recently snapped up Rose’s one-hour crime drama pilot “Otherwise Illegal,” with Mark Gordon, Deborah Spera and Michael Seitzman exec producing.
