The Donmar Warehouse won four of the 10 awards at the 20th annual Critics’ Circle Theater Awards.

Donmar a.d. Michael Grandage drew the director nod for his production of “Ivanov” in its yearlong Donmar West End season at Wyndham’s Theater and for his staging of “The Chalk Garden” at the Donmar’s 250-seat home address. “Ivanov” provided Kenneth Branagh with the actor honor, while “Chalk Garden” won Margaret Tyzack the kudo for actress.

Sharing the nod for Shakespearean perf were Derek Jacobi, for his turn as Malvolio in Grandage’s revival of “Twelfth Night,” and David Tennant, for his stint in the title role of “Hamlet” with the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Tracy Letts added to his already large haul of legit laurels, picking up the new play plaudit for “August: Osage County.” Alexi Kaye Campbell’s much admired debut, “The Pride,” won him most promising playwright.

In a weak year for new tuners, the Peter Hepple Award for musical went to the Menier Chocolate Factory revival of “La Cage aux Folles.” Of all the winners, “La Cage” is the only show still running thanks to its West End transfer.

Ella Smith won most promising newcomer for her performance in Neil LaBute’s “Fat Pig,” while Neil Murray nabbed the design trophy for “Brief Encounter.”
